Casa Negra Candle Care
Initial Burn
Before lighting a candle for the first time, trim the wick to 1/4 inch to prevent flickering and smoke. Burn the candle until the top layer has melted and touched all sides of the container to avoid tunneling and memory rings. Avoid short burn times and place the candle on a secure surface for safety.
Trim the Wick
Remember to trim the candle wick to ¼ inch length after each burn to prevent flickering, smoke, and uneven burning.
How to Extinguish Our Candles
Please remember not to burn a candle for more than three hours at a time to prevent the vessel from overheating and causing damage. It's best to use a snuffer to extinguish the candle to avoid wax splashes or smoke. Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch and straightened for an even burn. Also, make sure to keep any debris and dust away from the candle's top layer.
Maximize the Candle Scent Throw
Open windows and doors for a softer scent and burn candles in smaller spaces with windows and doors closed for a stronger fragrance.
- It is important to keep candles away from direct light or sunlight, as this may affect or change the wax color and fragrance.
- When burning more than one candle at a time, keep three inches apart from each other to prevent overheating and damage to vessels.
