Care Guide

Every Casa Negra candle is made to last. Here's how to protect that.

How to Extinguish our candles

Burn for no more than three hours at a time — this protects both the wax and the vessel.

Extinguish with a snuffer, not breath: it keeps the wax surface clean and the air clear. Trim and center the wick

before every lighting.

Scent Throw

The room shapes the scent. Open windows soften the throw; enclosed spaces concentrate it.

Keep candles out of direct sunlight — light affects both the wax color and the fragrance over time. Burning

more than one? Space them at least three inches apart so the vessels don't overheat.

Best Practices

First Burn

The first burn sets the memory of the wax. Let it melt fully to the edges before extinguishing — this prevents tunneling and ensures every subsequent burn is even.

Wick Trimming

Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each lighting for a clean, even burn.

Burn Time

Limit burning to 3-hour intervals to maintain optimal performance and vessel integrity.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve fragrance and wax quality.

Safety

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from drafts, children, and pets.

Vessel Care

When the candle is done, the vessel isn't. Clean it out and keep it — it was designed to live beyond the last flame.

Extend the Experience

Every pour was precise. Every burn should be too.
